Stormy Day

Today was our first thunderstorm for the season and I hope there are many more to come. Geoff and I love the rain - it's wonderfully*crazy*beautiful weather. I snapped some pics before I curled up on the couch with hot chocolate in hand to watch Aladdin on Disney. Ahh, I ADORE this season!!

October Thrift Finds

Over the holiday weekend my dearest friend, Adriana, and I went thrifting and boy did I find some treasures!!

Sleigh bells ring, can you hear them?? Well I can!! And, if you visit out humble abode during Christmas you will be able to hear them as well :o)

I scored this lovely sleigh bell to hang on our front door for $.50 - Oh yeah!!


I'm an avid reader so I love to browse through thrifted books hoping to find a great deal. And I have are more than one occasion - this time I found Vintage Style for $.50, three Little Golden Books (which I have decided to begin collecting for when Geoff and I have a future little reader) for $.25 each and With a Little Help From My Friends: The Making of Sgt. Pepper, which was a real steal for only $1.00.

I also found this cute, glittery, pink peace banner to decorate my cubie during the holiday season.

I was so excited to find these lovelies as well! You see, my future sister in law has a pair of these cute flats and I've been wanting them so badly. However, she bought them several years ago and, alas, I could not find them on any of my favorite shoes sites. Thanks to Goodwill I will be rockin' these come spring and for only $2.00!

Adriana found these brand new polka dot sketchers for a measly $2.00 and was very said that they were not in her size. But, lucky for me they fit my footsies so I bought them with her approval and promised I would do them the same justice as she would.

Ok, I know Crocs aren't the cutest shoes but I LOVE THEM!! So when I found these red uglies in my size I was literally jumping up and down in the isle. I've been wanting a pair of Crocs FOREVER but I didn't want to spend the money on them but for $3.00, I was sold! And the best part is that these are cuter than the normal Crocs because they have a more girly mary jane shape to them. Yahoo!!

My next fantastic find were these two adorable vintage purses that will fit in with my vintage purse collection and, even better, that I can use this fall!! They were only $2.00 each. :0)

I also found some amazing pieces of jewelry. It seems that I was feeling the gold pieces which is great because I don't have much gold. I found ten necklaces, One stunning pair of rhinestone earrings and a small bag full of hair clips (I kept 5 out of 11) all for $3.00.

One Year

Love,

One year ago we said "we will" standing a beautiful beach with our loved ones surrounding us in a circle of love. With hands held, we promised each other to love unconditionally, shoulder our challenges together, and encourage our hopes and dreams while Rams tied a pretty teal ribbon around are joined hands so we'd always remember those promises.

We ate delicious food on a charger of love songs under a golden arch of sunflowers, dahlias and daisies. We kissed to the clinging of glasses and listened to our fathers and closest friends toast to our happiness. I was so content.

After dinner we headed to the brick covered dance floor and swayed to Air for our first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Geoff Feusahrens. You still make it easy. We ended the night with all of our guests dancing the night away and boogieing down to the sounds of our favorite lyrics and melodies. It was magical.

One year ago we made promises to each other that we have stood by. This year has been wonderfully challenging and we have succeeded in growing closer and more in love. I love you with all my heart and everything I have. Each year will only make us better and each anniversary will will have more to celebrate but here's to our first with many more to come!

This Time Last Year

It's almost six o'clock on October 1oth, 2009 and I realized that this time last year we were enjoying pizza, wine, beer and laughs with all of our closest friends and family. We had finished the rehearsal at the beach and headed to Gianni's Pizza to fill our bellies full of the best pizza around and have a pre-wedding-celebration before our big day!

What a Wicked Night!

Last Thursday I travel to the city to see Wicked. It was amazing! Seriously, if you get a chance to see this show - DO IT!! I want to see it again before it leaves SF.


After we found the perfect parking spot (right across from the theater) we walked around before we headed to dinner.

There was a group of people on the sidewalk playing chess. Awesome!

We treated ourselves to a nice dinner at the Market Street Grill where we wined and dined while listening to a mix of live piano music and Prince . . . I know, it was a weird combination.

You can't have dinner without drinks!!

We were not allowed to take pictures inside the theater but I did anyway. I only got the next three blury shots in before the usher started screaming NO PHOTOS. Ooops ;)

When we exited the sign was light up and it look stunning! I was glad I snapped these pictures when I did because right afterward they shut off the light. I guess they were trying to conserve energy or money.

Beer ....

If you ask me, I think my lovely husband and the wonderfully goofy Homer J Simpson have a few similarities. But nothing is more similar between the two then their love for a cold, brownish, foamy substance called beer.
