09.09.09 is the day that Geoff has been waiting months for because today is the day that Beatles Rock Band is released! I believe we'll be making a trip to Best Buy on our way home to pick up the limited edition for our Wii. I know he'll be playing it all night long!

Weird, Wild and Wacky State Fair

Last Sunday we went with our best buds, Ky and Adriana, to the California State Fair.



Going to the State Fair is somewhat of a tradition for Geoff and I because we are lucky enough to get free tickets from his pops. In fact we had our engagement pictures taken at the fair last year (see my favorite below).
Because it was such a hot day we arrived at the opening did a quick tour of the outside and then made our way into the cool building that housed lots of fun and quirky goodies.

This year's theme was "Weird, Wild and Wacky". I didn't see much that was weird, wild or wacky, aside from my fun-lovin' husband, but that didn't hinder our experience.

Hannah Banana Turns Two!

Geoff's (well now that we're married - our) adorable niece turned two this past monday and to celebrate the big occasion her parents through her a pool party on Saturday at her Nana's beautiful home. And let me tell you, it was a good thing that there was cool water involved because it was H-O-T!!! Below are just a few of my favorite pics from the day. . .

Buttons, Buttons & More Buttons

Last week I arrived home with this sitting in the shade on our porch . . .

I know you may be asking, "What's in the box, McCaulie?" or maybe you're not cause you read the title and you're quick witted . . . either way here's a little peak . . .

That's right - BUTTONS!!! Lots and lots of buttons! 10 pounds of buttons to be exact.

Games, Cupcakes and Books...Oh My!

This past Thursday some of my friends and I made a trip down to Palo Alto to see two of our favorite authors. It was our first trip to a book signing and we had a blast!

We all took off from work around noon and made a pit-stop at Dave & Buster's in San Jose. I had previously been to Dave & Buster's once for my friend Jamie's 21st birthday. Though my memory is a little faded reminiscing about that trip because this beautiful mom-to-be is now in her later 20's and we traveled to DB's after several pre-drinks while watching Paulie Shore, I still told the girls it would be a worthwhile stopping point. I was right!! And funny enough, once there I started remembering more about Jamie's 21st birthday night. :)

Once we arrived in Palo Alto we found the bookstore and, more importantly, we found a cupcake store to loud our tummies with the sweet cupcakey goodness!! Yummy!!!
