Feusahrens in Frisco: An Afternoon Play

A couple weeks ago we were lucky to have Geoff's parents treat us and M&A to a weekend in the city as an early Christmas gift. It was wonderful! We started out with seeing an afternoon showing of Wicked . . . it was even better the second time around!!

Earlier this month Adriana and I made our monthly thrifting adventure and this is what I found:

And I must say that these are my favorite . . . Red Plaid Scottie Dog Faves! They are a little big but they were too cute not to get!! And with a price of $3 I didn't care if they were a tad loose! They are perfect for the holiday season!!

First a Witch, Now a Mouse

On Saturday we went to see Jayde dance her little heart out in the Nutcracker. SHE WAS AMAZING!! I swear I am not being biased because she's my favorite five year old or because she's the most adorable thing ever - seriously - she's a natural little dancer and she's fabulous!

Geoff and I met up with my brother, Melissa and Jayde before her performance to enjoy a bite to eat. I was so glad we did this because we were able to laugh and chat with her before the exhaustion crept in. Normally, by the time we see her after the show, it's 10 o'clock, she has danced in two performances, she's had her adrenalin up all day and she is ready for bed.

We weren't allowed to take pictures during the performance but her dance studio had a photo shoot with the kids in their costumes and her shots are below.

This is her "party scene" dress. My mom made this dress for her (yep my mom is super talented with a needle and thread).

This is her mouse costume - told ya, adorable!! She was a little mouse that helped the "Queen" mouse battle the nutcracker.

This picture is my absolute favorite! I just love her little hands and the little nutcracker - just love it and her!

We're so proud of you Jayde!!

Our New Ride

Last week Geoff and I were heading to see MJ's This Is It when our one and only car (a beloved 2002 Toyota Celica) gave a loud squeal and then decided to stop working. Luckily Geoff pulled over in the nick of time and we had AAA towing drop us off at the nearest shop only to find out that our little car was seriously injured and it was going to cost of some serious mula.

We have been talking about getting a new car for quite some time but it was just talk and we didn't think it would be happening so soon. We knew we wanted a larger crossover because our pups need more room so after much contemplation we decided that our money would be better used on the purchase of a new ride!!

My Boys on a Furlough Friday Mornin'

On average, I'm the first to wake up. I have my routine in the morning that allows me to catch up on my previously recorded shows, do some crafty projects and, most importantly, have some "me" time.

Once I've had my fill of "me" time I head back upstairs to check on my favorite boys. My boys all sleeping blissfully on our bed - this image fills me with such love. You can't even see Terrapin because when I get up he burrows himself under my covers.

Told ya . . . this is my baby boys nose and it the only think visible from under the covers.
