Valentine's Day

I know that this blog is a little late but it's still worth it :) Geoff and I had a wonderful 1st Valentine's Day as husband and wife.



I woke up to a delicious breakfast of blueberry waffles, orange juice, red roses and champagne. As Rachel Ray would say Yum-o!

While I was digging in Geoff gave me a beautifully wrapped present which I quickly tore apart to unveil those lovely pair Butterfly Bouquets that I blogged about earlier :) Let me tell you they even lovelier in person!!

Later that day Ky and Adriana came over to celebrate the day of love. We drank champagne, played the wii, jenga, simpsons uno and ate a yummy assortment of cookies (my treat to geoff). Overall it was a perfect way to spend Valentine's Day :)

Drooling . . .

This is the PERFECT Spring and/or Summer purse. I am in LOVE!! And if I wasn't googly eyed before I knew the price -- knowing it's only $34.00 makes me totally obsessed! Crazy Deal!! Ok I am wiping my mouth now and heading off to beg my hubby :)

Benzie Fashion Week

Oh to be in NYC! I love, love, love me some fashion and I would die to be in New York for fashion week to see a remarkable show. The glamour, the clothes, the celebs - Alas, for most of us mere mortals, we watch it all from afar.

Here’s a couple of sites for those of you dying to find out what’s going to be the trends this year. Start here, at the Official New York Fashion Week Round-up site that has the weekly schedule of all the shows broken down by date and time or by designers, plus updates on the latest events and news, photographs from every show and behind the scenes video. By far, the best feature on this site is the almost instant turnaround of pictures of the clothes straight from the runaway within hours of a shows completion.

If you still can't get enough, check out Fashion Week Daily, the official blog of Fashion Week for runway reviews, the buzz on the big hits and misses, plus information and gossip from the party scenes. And no talk of blogs and fashion would be complete without mentioning Fashionista. If you want to read an intelligent and fun blog dedicated to providing the latest news and styles in the fashion world this is your stop!

Call me a girl, but I thought this show was adorable and beautiful, 50 designers celebrating the 50th year anniversary of the world’s most iconic lady.

Carlos Miele - Feb 16th

Carlos brings the sheikness of the art deco era with the perfect modern flare!!

Narciso Rodriguez – Feb 17th

Ever since Michelle Obama wore his dress on the night of her husband’s victory speech, I’ve been wanting to see more.

Max Azira - Feb 17th

Classic and Beautiful - need I say more.

Anna Sui - Feb 18th

Her funky and playful styles always thrill me.

Project Runway - Feb 20th

Of course, we won’t know the results till later this year. But just knowing it’s happening is exciting.

A girl can never have to many accessories . . .

And the way I see it is you can NEVER have too many shoes or purses! Oscar Wilde one said "one should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art." to me shoes and purses are a work of art I can wear! So hey - it's the best of both worlds :)


Anyway while I sit bored at work I often find myself browsing such sites as zappos, piperlime and ebay in search for a pair of shoes or a purse that speaks to me. More often than not, I find several that scream "buy me, buy me" but alas, with the economy as it is, I can only browse and drool. Here are some of my favorite shoes that I found today . . .



Butterfly Bouquet by Naughty Monkey - the colors are FABulous and they would look stellar with a pair of jeans!

Here we have Naughty Monkey's Quickie - the buttons alone sold me on these pretties :)

And the name of the above beauties couldn't be more perfect . . . "Bow Tastic" by Irregular Choice.



Drum roll please . . . .



My most favorite pair of shoe for the day are the purple knockouts below. The purple suede is the perfect shade and the star accent knocks them out of the park. Ms. Betsy Johnson sure knows how to make killer footwear!!

And if you don't think these shoes were made for me already - get this - they are named after my mom!! That's right they're called "Geri". Hmmm . . . I wonder if my mom would wear them?? Ha ha - I think they are a little too much for her :)

Honeymoon Series Continued . . .

The first day of our honeymoon was spent walking around the Happiest Place on Earth! Since we were staying at the Disneyland Hotel we were able to walk out of our room right onto Downtown Disney and catch the monorail that took us straight into Tommorrowland. It was so nice because whenever we wanted to head back to the room to relax we just hopped on the monorail and we were back.

One thing that brought Geoff on board for a honeymoon in Disneyland was the fact that we would be walking around the park with bride and groom mickey ears :) So buying said ears was our first stop.

It was so fun to walk around the park and have people wish you congratulations. And the extra perks we got were not too bad either!!

We walked around, stood in lines, partook in many adventurous rides, met Jack Skeleton and Sally, shopped and then headed back to the room to rest.

Next up . . . back to the park for the parade.
